Alien Crossfire Multiuser

For Windows only, should work with all versions of Windows and CPUs
No sound, voice, movie files herewith, but complete to play noiseless.

Click the self extracting exe to expand the package, It will create a directory "SMAC" as well as the necessary subdirectories.
DO NOT expand it over an existing installation or over the demo version!

Secure that no files is set to read only.
 
To start one of the program versions (Alpha Centauri or Alien Crossfire), click one the respective exe (terran.exe = Alpha Centauri, terranx.exe = Alien Crossfire)
All patches already are in.

Hint, made 07.07.2003 after some confusing in the newsgroup:
inside the rar or the zip file there is a self extracting rar exe.
After click the exe file, it seems that the system freezes. That isn't.
The point is, that - depending from system's speed and memoy - it may need 30 - 45 seconds until winrar shows its window to select the extract destination directory to say OK or select an other. Winrar takes the file first to memoy and so it may need to swap the momeroy before.
The default is /SMAC/ and I suggest to leave it unchanged, say OK only.
