New "alternate" pcx files for the old SMAC Factions. If the pcx files of the "alternate" CD directory are used together with SMACX and mixed factions of SMAC and SMACX, then the faction colors are wrong. These pcx here correct the problem. |

"low resolution" files of SMAC. Who is using a slow system with 600x800 resolution, should use these files. On SMACX CD there are no "low res" files, and when installing SMACX they are overwritten. This will slow such a system a lot. |

After normal installation of programm and patches delete the terranx.exe and replace it with this one here. Then start SMAC and SMACX by direct click of the respective exe only. |

If you like to play a PBEM or an IP with other users having an other language version, you may change your game language easy by this files (all here are from SMACX):
1. make sure that all files in your SMAC(X) directory are NOT set to read only 2. save all your txt files you have in your SMAC(X) directory 3. copy all the text files of the archive to your SMAC(X) directory 4. you now have the other language version. (If someone sends me the text files of other languages, I'll publish it here, too) | |

For those who have the US version of SMAC and got a different language version of SMACX, the language voice files for SMACX are below.
